troubleshooting faqs

1. I am getting a blank, white page when I click on the certification link
2. I get a prompt to install Macromedia Flash Player. What is it? Why do I need to install it?
3. How do I apply online for TABB certification?

1. I am getting a blank, white page when I click on the certification link.

Please set your pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups from the TABB certification website. We pop up a new window to create a secure connection to our web server.

Don't know how to change the settings? There are several programs that provide pop-blocking: Internet Explorer, Yahoo Toolbar, and Google toolbar are the most common

In Internet Explorer:

    While in internet explorer..

    Go to Tools,

    Select Pop-up blocker

Then select Pop-up blocker setting to allow TABB

On the Yahoo Toolbar:

To disable the pop-up blocker on the Yahoo toolbar you will need to uncheck the "Enable Pop-Up Blocker" to disable the pop-up blocking functionality. After you have finished your session on the TABB certification site, you can reset those settings.

On the Google Toolbar:

To disable the pop-up blocker on the Google toolbar you will need to click on the button "no popups" to change the selection to "popups allowed" this will allow pop-ups from TABB. After you have finished your session on the TABB certification site, you can reset those settings.

2. I get a prompt to install Macromedia Flash Player. What is it? Why do I need to install it?

Macromedia Flash is a browser plug-in that adds sound, animation, and graphics to websites. We have updated our sites with additional functionality that requires this plug-in. You do not have to install it, but we recommend that you do.

Do you have the current macromedia "Flash Player"?

If not, please notice your computer will prompt you to download the program. This is a requirement for the application to operate. Please select the option to install this program.

Depending on your system and programming you may use one of the following

formats to complete this portion of your application:

    (Adobe Acrobat) file formats

To save your document as one of these types please open the document, select File, select Save As. Then change the Save as Type at the bottom.
