Certification is a statement that the TABB Certified Contractor has met TABB's standards for certification. The aim of TABB's certification standards is to ensure that TABB Certified Technicians, Supervisors and Contractors are competent, reliable and qualified professionals.
TABB qualification of a Technician is TABB's recognition that, by reason of the Technician's TABB-recognized certification, the Technician is able to test, adjust or balance building environmental systems to produce the design objectives or optimum system performance, in accordance with TABB standards.
One requirement of maintaining TABB certification is continuing compliance with the TABB Code of Conduct. That Code of Conduct includes the general standard which certification represents:
TABB Technicians, and TABB Certified Supervisors and Contractors (Certified Professionals) should practice their profession consistent with TABB procedures and the highest quality of workmanship.
What TABB certification should mean to the customer is that this standard has been met.
