John Hamilton

We wanted to share the following letter with you, which compliments the efforts of John Hamilton, TABB Assistant Director of Certification. John serves on the SMWIA TAB Taskforce, the HVAC Technician Certification Committee, and the Commissioning Task Force. He is also liaison to the International Certification Board (ICB) for TABB. John previously worked at the International Training Institute (ITI) as a Regional Coordinator, and was technical expert for many of the current ITI training modules.

Locals 45, 3 and 263 and the five SMACNA chapters in Iowa have been working with John Hamilton for the past year training sheet metal workers and contractors using ITI's modified Project Management Manual.

As supervisors deal with various levels of personnel each trying to install their materials on tight schedules, Project Management is one of the toughest jobs. The range of attendees John trained varied from the very large contractor to the 5 to 10 man shops - John, however, found the common denominator from the ITI manual that should dramatically improve productivity.

John's personality related well not only to my contractors but also to the "hands-on" sheet metal worker. Thank you for allowing John to complete this one-year cycle of training.
