CONTRACTOR SPOTLIGHT: Chase Technical Services
Michael Chase, Field Operations Director Michael Chase graduated from the Ecole de Métiers and Vanier College with a Building Systems Technology degree and established himself as an independent contractor in 1972. For the next thirty-one years, Michael Chase has worked in all components of air distribution, hydronic systems, building systems commissioning, HVAC troubleshooting, and system start-up. Knowing how important it is to keep on the cutting edge of technology, it was natural that he would become a TABB Certified Contractor. Chase Technical Services (Bellingham, Washington) provides clients with a full-range of services and experience. Over the years, Chase has completed millions of dollars of mechanical construction projects that have encompassed public, private and industrial sectors, both in the United States and Canada. "I foresee the industry opening up to not only encourage, but to become, an equal opportunity industry. Through unionization, balancers will finally be recognized and compensated for the professionalism they bring to this industry," says Chase. Michael Chase prides himself in being able to submit computerized reports with minimum delay in both metric or imperial, French or English. In fact, Chase Technical Services was the first balancing company in North America to conceptualize and implement a personalized software program to perform multi-language reporting. Chase believes dramatic changes will impact the balancing industry and that TABB will be the catalyst. "I'm proud to be a member of TABB-an organization that is dedicated and geared toward bringing the balancing industry into the 21st century."
