Countdown to the Conference
2020 Vision – Week 6

The 19th Annual ICB/TABB Conference will begin on Monday May 4, 2020 and conclude on Wednesday May 6, 2020 in Anaheim, California. The conference kick-off will take place on May 4 from 7:30-8:30 a.m. with registration and a buffet-style breakfast. Opening day activities will conclude with a meet and greet reception from 3:00-4:00 p.m., followed by the ICB/TABB Recognition Dinner from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

This joint labor and management event will offer two educational tracks. The Business Track will enable conference attendees to identify market opportunities and proven methods for capitalizing on them. The Certification Track will provide conference attendees with opportunities to increase knowledge and skills, and complete a certification exam.

Business Track: Emerging Technologies in HVAC

Theresa Pistochini and Caton Mande, R&D Engineers at the UC Davis Western Cooling Efficiency Center (WCEC), will present recent research results related to HVAC technologies.

Topics will include:

  • The impact of ventilation on attendance and student performance in K-12 schools.
  • Evaluations of demand control ventilation system products.
  • Total system efficiency of a variable-speed residential heat pump, and the impact of thermal duct losses.
  • Research in new airflow measurement tools, including a building ventilation screening tool and a tracer gas airflow measurement system.
  • Please visit the trade show floor following their presentation to learn more about WCEC, and share your insight and experiences to inform future research.

Important Deadlines:

Conference registration, including all Business and Certification Track selections,
must be completed on or before Monday, April 6, 2020.

Hotel room reservations must be made on or before Sunday, April 19, 2020.

Conference attendees will receive one (1) CEU for each one (1) hour of Business and/or Certification Track activity that is completed.

The vendor tradeshow will be featured on Tuesday at the hotel with a raffle taking place during lunch. Hotel parking is available onsite at the rate of $18.00 self-parking.
