Seven Tips for Installing Variable Refrigerant Flow on a Roof

At our ICB/TABB Conference earlier this year, we presented an in-depth look at various types of Variable Refrigerant Flow systems, which have been gaining in popularity but continue to present challenges for TAB professionals. Attendees of this workshop learned about the basics of VRF, installation procedures, refrigerant safety concerns, and balancing lessons from the field.

A recent issue of ACHR News magazine featured seven tips for proper roof-top installation of VRF units, addressing such issues as piping layout, placement, vibrations, spacing and more, which we thought you’d find useful.
